JULIE SLACK
Julie Slack is a fresh new talent in Singapore! Having moved to Singapore in June from the United States, Julie was quickly scooped up by Zebra Crossing Productions for which she performed a principal singing role and several comedic ensemble roles in the iconic production of Victor/Victoria at the Esplanade Theatre.

Julie’s path to becoming a professional actor in the United States was somewhat non-traditional. Julie grew up onstage, having performed in over 35 musical and non-musical productions. And as an adult, she honed her comedic skills by performing part-time in several improvisational comedy troupes in New York. But for many years she was focused on developing a successful Sales and Marketing career at the National Football League and Lincoln Financial Group. However, she had always dreamed of pursuing a career as a professional actor, and so in February of 2008 Julie took the plunge and left the corporate world to launch her new career.

Within a month, Julie had begun steadily booking television commercials and radio spots in the US, and she rapidly became highly teleprompter proficient.

Julie quickly developed an impressive resume, including a principal role in the Kabir Khan-directed Bollywood movie “New York,” a national commercial for Papa John’s Pizza, guest hosting on the US shopping network QVC, and an extensive list of company websites on which she is the host and spokesperson.

With her sophisticated business sense, Julie knows what is most important to clients and directors from a marketing and budgetary perspective. Having the creativity of an artist, on the other hand, is what makes her an intriguing and dynamic performer. And whether her roles require her to memorize, improvise, read from a teleprompter, or create a character just using her voice, Julie is able to produce the best quality results in either the minimal number of takes or with the least amount of drama!
